Julia & Drew // Wedding at The Barn at Mapleside

Spoiler Alert: Insanely beautiful wedding day ahead! Please find a comfy seat and enjoy. We’ve been waiting to work with Julia & Drew again ever since their super sweet engagement session last fall (which you can see here). And not only that, we were excited to connect once again with a family we love working with. We’ve had the pleasure of photographing Julia’s brother’s wedding (check it out) and her sister’s engagement session in CLE (check that out too). So if those weren’t enough to enjoy, we now have another incredible wedding day to add to the collection. Julia & Drew’s wedding at Mapleside was just… so… everything it should be. We don’t even know what to say other than the pictures will speak for us. We LOVED this wedding and we know you will too. Here’s a little peak at the emotion that filled their day…

But before you get more of that, here’s how the morning started… We always love the anticipation of a First-Look and the joy that follows… Julia & Drew gave of all the time we wanted for portraits and we definitely used every minute to wander around the property and be creative for them… That bouquet was gorgeous! It really popped in every photo. There wasn’t a bad direction to photograph at The Barn… When a pond and hillside become something so much more… Apple trees? Sure, we’ll wander down around there for a bit… And look what you can find when you wander… We LOVED these portraits and our time alone with Julia & Drew, but we figured we should get the rest of the group in photos too finally. ;o) HA! You guys were such a fun group! Back up to The Barn and then it was time to get hitched… Fathers and daughters walking to the groom. One of the best moments in every wedding… And you’re married! Love the smiles on the mother’s faces in this one… We did family photos in this location (Gorgeous, right?!?) and we couldn’t help but get just a few more of Julia & Drew… If the outside of The Barn wasn’t beautiful enough, there was the incredible inside just to keep it going… Once the dance floor opened up, the night went from fun to wild to crazy! The Cleveland Keys / Dueling Piano band was incredible and people kept the requests coming all evening…

And just a few of us doing our thing… in our ankle socks, which Christy lovingly joked about while I was trying to focus on my job.
I told her I needed a test shot. I didn’t really. I just wanted one. One of our lesser known skills: pinning boutonnieres on groomsmen and fathers. (Tip – the needle should never show on the front.) Just another day at the office.

Remember, we all stumble; every one of us.
That is why it is a comfort to go hand in hand.
