Today we are sharing some of our favorite wedding portraits of 2016. Unlike candid moments (as we shared last week) these represent the purposeful and planned photos of the day. The posed and dramatic reflection of the couple. We really enjoy this part of the wedding day because the couple finally has time to breathe, relax and share some intimate time together away from the chaos of the crowd. This is where we strive to create a comfortable environment for the bride and groom to be themselves, which allows us to capture and create photos that truly represent who they are individually and as a couple. This is the time when we can explore, experiment and have a lot of fun with our couples. The challenge is to create portraits that are classic, romantic, artistic and modern all at the same time. We love candid photos and we often get comments about how candid and natural our portraits look, but aren’t portraits always posed? The honest answer for us is yes and no. We find a location with great light, and then place our couples into the scene. After that, it’s mostly up to the couple how they want to react and relate to each other. Being a supportive coach is much more appealing to us than being a rigorous director. And we have to say, we always love the results our couples give us…
